Assets for Isometric web-based application, 3D scenes created for portfolio

This was my first work after college. The finished product was supposed to be an Isometric world for a web-based application where players could build their own spaces from a number of different themed styles. After the project fell apart I had done a bunch of scenes and 3D renders of the assets I had built. Shown here are the scenes, asset renders as they would have appeared in the app as well as room renders from the app and sketches I had done at the beginning of the project.

The models are mostly med to high density polygon meshes. The textures are a complex assortment of color/specular/bump maps and lots of procedural 2D and 3D maps, as well as an ambient occlusion pass. Vertex coloring was used to blend some materials; the rust on various pipes especially. Rendered in Maya using Mental Ray with Final Gathering and an Ambient Occlusion pass.
